Killing Eve, the BBC America series that’s found most of its audience on Hulu, has garnered plenty of acclaim. But the popularity of the thriller/action/romance(?) has grown in non-traditional ways since its debut in April of 2018.
If you are in media and have attended any conferences in the past year, your buzzword bingo cards are full of phrases like “Let’s unpack that” and “swim-lanes,” as well as the requisite “data-driven approach.” So, let’s stay in our swim lane and unpack what it means to be “data-driven” in the AI age of media… in non-buzz talk.
The ability to measure the success or failure of content has truly advanced in the media landscape. And these tools can now be applied across the board for all content creators. Netflix (and Hulu and Amazon) may have the early advantage, but more traditional content creators are seeing how AI and machine learning can offer them a chance to catch up.
