ABOUT THE WEB DEVELOPER ROLE
The Web Developer will be a team member in our engineering group producing intuitive applications. You will be part of a trailblazing team who will be your collaborators and teachers, using cutting edge languages and libraries to create tools to change the media marketplace and grow as a programmer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web protocols, REST API creation and easy-to-understand visual designs. The candidate should have a desire to create clean, modular code and be able to effectively work solo as well as collaborate on all aspects of program design across a rich variety of projects. Potential employees must also be able to effectively communicate with business and customers in person and email.
Create intuitive and interactive user experiences and applications
Learn and adopt best engineering methodologies to create high-quality code
Work closely with engineering, marketing and sales people to ensure timely delivery happens
Demonstrate great initiative, teamwork and composure to deal with ambiguity and opportunity in startup environment

Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience developing websites using a web framework
Working knowledge of a Linux/MAC/Windows environment and cloud services (AWS preferred, bash, batch)
Knowledge of data structures, design patterns, OOP and modular code
Great engineering communication skills and writing skills
Optional, but not required: experience with big data, machine learning, Python and visualizations
